Notorious RBG
This stunning silver-plated chainmail collar is based on US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's iconic lace collar, and is a piece of history linked from silver-plated brass.
To create the Notorious RBG, I began by painstakingly hand-connecting over ten yards of silver chain, which I linked together in carefully ordered sections, using Japanese chainmail techniques that organized the tiny metal links along the bias for a lush creation that drapes delicately at the base of your neck like a sensuous silk scarf made of silver.
This astonishing piece is a sensory delight. Its design's sparkling radial symmetry measures approximately sixteen inches at the neck opening, and is adjustable for a secure and comfortable fit. The organic flow of its filigree-like links between your fingers has to be felt to be believed, and the hundreds of little silver links chime like bells with your movement.
