The lines of historical Byzantine jewelry inspired me to create this original metal lace collar pattern from hypoallergenic stainless steel links. This piece is a lighter, more open-worked variation of the original Byzantine pattern. The Byzantine Chainmail Choker necklace measures 18 inches, with a 3 inch extension chain, allowing it to adjust from choker to collarbone length. Contact me for your unique fit! So many things I love about this. 1. it's basically indesctructable. I let my two year old play with it when I need him to sit quietly. I fidget with it pretty constantly, too. 2. It's heavy enough to feel good, but light enough you forget it's even there. 3. For a necklace that's made up of hundreds of rings, it doesn't pinch. That's kind of a miracle. How is that possible?? 4. SO PRETTY! But not too fancy for every day. 5. It jingles! Not loud enough to be annoying--a very subtle jingle that makes me feel super fancy. I'm not usually a jewelry person, but I've been wearing this every day.
