Firing stainless steel links to 400-630F brings out colors shifting from bronzy-gold to steely blue. Setting the faceted garnets and black spinels amidst the links allows them to glitter in complement to the iridescence of the fired steel.
The hellebore, sometimes called Christmas or Lenten roses, are some of the first flowers that peek out in the spring. Their hardy nature that brings color in the drab days of early spring reflects the enduring qualities of steel, while the shape of the flower is mimicked by the set of the gemstones.
