Beginning with 4.5mm gold-plated links, I link them together in a strip of chainmail using the Japanese technique. Then I form diamonds with the same technique and attach them to the strip along with the stone of your choice. The entire thing is attached to more gold-chain for a total length of 20 inches, and finished with a matching lobster-claw clasp for ultimate adjustability.
The individually-attached diamonds slip smoothly through the fingers, providing a unique feel inspired by the strap necklaces of ancient Greece. This elegant gold necklace would be perfect for a day at the office, or a glamourous addition to a night out.
