Doriath

The deep slate-blue of the fired leaf pendant on this necklace reminded me of Tolkien's description of Mirkwood, or Doriath as it was known during the reign of Thingol. I subject the pendant to temperatures over 550�F. I then attach it to lengths of chainmail that have been subjected to temperatures ranging from 400-630�F, making them reminiscent of the beams of sunlight that shone through the dim trees. I finish the 29-inch necklace with a matching fired lobster claw clasp for adjustability.
